The Company & Role:

K-MATIC empowers enterprises with next generation software solutions that unlock the potential of geospatial data. We are the leader in this space in the UK & Ireland and have big plans to become the global leader in our space centred around a new product strategy we are developing.

We are embarking on an ambitious plan to achieve this goal, and hiring a Marketing leader is a core component of delivering it. We’re seeking an experienced progressive, modern Marketing leader to help shape and deliver our go-to-market plans both directly and through a global distributor network.

This is a hugely exciting opportunity to be part of a large transformation of the business where you will be a core part of the leadership team that delivers on our business objectives. Reporting to the CEO, you’ll get to define and execute a new marketing strategy, build a team from the ground up, invest and help us grow the business to a new scale. You’ll get to work with a strong, proven leadership team with a track record of success, in a positive, diverse environment where your expertise will be highly valued.

Location: This role is based in Dublin, Ireland and will involve working with the team virtually and in-person in our Dublin offices. We will accept candidates based anywhere in Ireland once they can commute to Dublin as required and particularly during the initial onboarding months.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive multi-channel marketing plan for the company
  • Build brand awareness for a new business in an established industry, taking overall responsibility for brand management and corporate identity
  • Form part of the leadership team providing input into all aspects of the business
  • Hire and develop a small expert marketing team from the ground up
  • Source and manage external freelancer, fractional and agency resources to get specialist tasks done at quality and speed
  • Help develop and enable existing and new distribution channels globally
  • Build and manage multi-channel marketing campaigns to deliver competitive ROI
  • Brief stakeholders on marketing materials production (PR, Media, Advertising)
  • Build alignment with leadership, internal and external sales and customer success teams to deeply understand our customers in order to build and execute highly effective campaigns
  • Monitor market trends, researching consumer markets and competitors’ activities to identify opportunities and key issues.
  • Report on marketing campaign performance, suggesting adjustments to improve profitability
  • Build, own and effectively manage the marketing budget, including reporting on its impact, for the business
  • In the short term be willing to roll up your sleeves and get stuff done using the available resources creatively

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 5-10 years marketing experience in a relevant sector or similar position
  • You’ll be happy to take full responsibility for Marketing whilst educating and building trust and buy-in with company leadership and relevant stakeholders
  • High-level creative thinking and design capabilities. Proficiency in turning big ideas into action with tight timeframes and deadlines
  • Equally comfortable leading events, PR, digital. A great all rounder
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and comfortable working with a range of levels and teams internal and external.
  • A proven leader, with experience building high performing marketing teams - hiring, motivating, developing and retaining top diverse talent
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills and be confident with budgeting and project management
  • A clear understanding of what is required for a marketing team to deliver success in a complex and diverse selling environment - PLG, SLG, channel distributors, online and offline, SMB to Enterprise, inbound, outbound, nearbound, private and public sector, global
  • Strong analytical, visualisation and reporting skills

Nice to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Business or a similar discipline
  • Familiar with Geospatial data, industry users and buyers
