Your Role

As a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer, you will design, optimize, and maintain our cloud-based infrastructure. You’ll drive automation, ensure scalability, and embed best practices into our workflows. Collaborating with our talented engineering team, you’ll play a critical role in delivering a robust and secure platform that processes large-scale geospatial data.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available AWS cloud infrastructure.

• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.

• Develop, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and efficient deployment processes.

• Monitor system performance, optimize resources, and ensure cost-efficiency using AWS monitoring tools like CloudWatch, Loginside, X-Ray, and AWS Config.

• Manage containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes or Amazon EKS.

• Implement and manage robust security practices and encryption of data at rest and in transit.

• Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot issues related to system performance, scalability, and security.

• Collaborate with development teams to improve the performance and reliability of their services.

• Design and implement disaster recovery and failover strategies.

• Ensure compliance with best practices in DevOps, cloud architecture, and security.

• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure best practices are implemented.

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

• At least 5 years of experience in software development

• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.

• Strong knowledge of AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS, EKS, CloudFront, and others.

• Proven experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or AWS CodePipeline.

• Expertise in containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools like Kubernetes or Amazon EKS.

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation tasks.

• Strong understanding of networking concepts (VPC, DNS, VPN, etc.) and security best practices in cloud environments.

• Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK Stack, Grafana).

• Knowledge of AWS Well-Architected Framework and cloud cost optimization strategies.

• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator.

• Experience with serverless architectures and technologies (e.g., AWS Lambda, API Gateway).

• Experience with blue-green deployment, canary releases, or A/B testing.

• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.

• Knowledge of microservices architecture and API management.
